You compromise your standards for their comfort. You stop having the tough conversations. You spend excessively on them. You point them towards your desires instead of God’s. You constantly worry about them. You feel an overwhelming sense of abandonment when you think about them leaving. You consistently side with them instead of your spouse. Is this you? Don’t feel condemned. Refocus on the one who deserves our worship, Christ alone.
