General Summary
Work with executive director/president to achieve annual fund goals and objectives through current and new initiatives using print, mail, electronic and one-on-one methods common to an annual fund director.
|
Essential Functions include (but are not limited to):
- Must be a follower of Jesus Christ, member of a local church, with a desire to see kids, teens, and families come to Christ and grow in their faith.
- Will work collaboratively with the President/Executive Director to determine annual development fund objectives. Create and manage strategic and detailed plans that meet annual and long-term resource development objectives which will allow Keys for Kids to accomplish it’s mission.
- Recruit and renew development committee members and ensure they have appropriate tools, training and support to be effective and efficient in their work on the organization’s behalf.
- Oversee the direct mail process and do the writing/editing of print materials (newsletter, appeals, etc.) to ensure best practices are being met or exceeded.
- Provide strategy and implementation tools for the Peer to Peer fundraising platform.
- Coordinate with the president/executive director for the completion of Annual Fund grants. Track the submission of proposals/grants, monitor proposal deadlines, and provide oversight for proposal follow-up reports.
- Oversee all aspects of the fundraising events. Assist in creation of all goals and the annual review of how all events work into the overall development plan and strategy.
- Cultivate new relationships and maintain existing partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Previous proven successful experience within a fund development setting of a non-profit organization.
- Proven ability to communicate, both written and verbally, through letters, email, phone calls, and one-on-one meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully connect with individuals, businesses, and ministries across the country.
- Ability to interact with all levels of constituents including board, donors, and community leaders.
- Required skills: Microsoft Word and Excel (mail merge), email (mailchimp or constant contact), and wealth management software experience, and general internet functions, database management.
- Some comfort with Social Media and Raiser’s Edge preferred.
